It's all About Sukkos!
Today we were very busy learning about the holiday of Sukkos and making beautiful decorations for the Sukkah. Our favorite fruits served as inspiration for creating a beautiful placement. Several children built beautiful sukkahs in the block center.
We saw many beautiful pictures of sukkas in Israel and United States.
We started talking about:
why we eat in a sukkah....
what we do in the sukkah besides eating......
what we often see hanging in a sukkah.....
We will be learning much more about the estrog and lulav and special brachoshat we get to make. Throughout the holiday we will get to eat, sing and dance in the sukkah here!
We even got to go over to Hilary's house where we were treated to snacks in their beautiful sukkah. We sang songs as we walked. It was very special to be together in a sukkah!
