Purim Purim Everywhere

Today the sign in question was...

Do you like to bake a cake?

In the pictures above we put out 3 different things ( gems, pennies and beads) and we asked the children which would make the most noise as a gragger?

The children all decided that the pennies would be the loudest!

Then... They all got to decorate their graggers with different color materials

They came out beautiful!

On the top of it our friends wrote graggers in english and hebrew

We read from the megillah that the children put together and every time we said the name Haman the children would shake shake shake their gragger!

The children are counting down the days till Purim!!

Thank you Sara for the question!

The children used the water colors to paint some of the different mitzvot of purim. They painted shaloch manos baskets and hamentachens.

 While they were painting....
Hilary said: I made all different types of Hamentachens yesterday...
Sara said: If you want to make pink color you need to mix white and red

Sara said: Look I made candy in my basket!

Our friends built a plane using the blocks

Over the past few months we have been discussing and pointing out during our reading time what an illustrator is..
Today the children got to illustrate their own Megillah. Each friend got to draw and describe one scene. Then we put it all together and read it in front of the class!

The children are looking forward to take turns bringing it home.
